The first we heard of Coronavirus (COVID-19) was towards the end of 2019, when reports surfaced from the other side of the world. However, it was not long before, in January 2020, that the UK saw its first case. The first few cases soon turned to many people being infected by the disease, followed by thousands of fatalities. We lived through unprecedented times, feeling very unreal, with the country being in a state of lock-down. Who was to know that this virus will affect our lives so deeply and that too, so quickly.
Whilst we were summoned by our Government to stay at home, and restricted to work remotely, we at Podiatry Station were extremely worried about our patients. Although we offer key healthcare services, and our patients needed us, we made a very difficult decision to close our clinic for the sake of everyone's safety.
There was no deadline to this pandemic, so Podiatry Station started offering Remote Sessions in the form of phone and video consultations. We realised that majority of our patients required hands-on treatment, and remote consultations were not always going to be an ideal solution for everyone. But, this way we were still available to provide advice and guidance, until business resumed as usual.
We are glad to say, we continue to provide remote sessions regularly now, and they are more popular than ever. The service appeals to those who cannot leave their house, or for patient who have a busy lifestyle working on a tight schedule.
By booking a remote session, our Podiatrist will consult with you over the phone or by video connection. This will allow for an assessment to be carried out, and help you start the treatment plan immediately based on the diagnosis. This will avoid a delay in your treatment, and prevent any existing problems from getting worse.
For all your enquiries relating to remote sessions, please complete the form below, and a member of our team will get in touch with you.
You can also book your remote session via our online booking system or by calling us on 02033270194.
Please note, we currently use Zoom for all our online video conferencing.
